The Journal for Religion Film and Media is working on a Special Issue on the role of media, ethics and religion. Submissions should be handed in until the 31. of August 2021.
What is the role of religion in the broad medial landscape? How is it seen – idealized or cynical? Which normative value assumptions are dominant in medial communication and how does it variate from one platform or reference group to another? The JRFM puts these keywords to a new spotlight with the keen title: “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Theoretical and Methodological Challenges in Media Ethics and Religion“. The call leaves much room for interpretation and individual approaches towards this topic.
